The mighty DARKTHRONE continues to take no requests and no shit for that matter, as they continue down their own path, refining the same sonic direction that began with Arctic Thunder.
OLD STAR differs a bit in that it is a little less Power/NWOBHM and is simply labeled 'Early Metal' by the band. As a long-time fan of the duo, it is refreshing to hear them doing what they love, however they want, regardless of how others view them, and doing it well. The latest distillation of their unique sound could be the most appropriate of their various different directions to date - it's highly enjoyable, as well as consistent.
