S.H.S. Review: Haymaker - Let Them Rot 7"

Haymaker is a band I've covered multiple times here, but for those that haven't been up with it, they're on A389, from Canada, and play an agressive, metal-tinged form of Hardcore. The band has had members from Chokehold, Left For Dead, Cursed, and The Swarm, and Haymaker certainly lives up to that killer pedigree.

This new EP, "Let Them Rot," is an all-out, face melting, sonic assault that hits this author as the group's best recorded output yet. From the title track # 1 (my favorite) to the closer, 'Their Rules,' the riffage is unrelenting, and goes by in a flash, as the whole EP clocks in at just over four minutes. Perfect, actually.

For anyone that's a fan Ringworm, of fast, 90s, hardcore... who is seeking a truly perfect moment to say 'Fuck You!' to the world during your weekday solitary listening or with friends, this album is for you.
